Job Summary
The Junior Business Development Officer supports the business development team by identifying potential clients, assisting in negotiations, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
The role involves learning market trends, building client relationships, and achieving individual targets under the guidance of senior business development professionals.
Responsibilities
Client Prospecting
- Identify and qualify leads through research and networking.
- Maintain an updated database of potential clients.
Sales Support
- Assist in preparing business proposals and presentations.
- Follow up with clients to ensure successful closure of deals.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build relationships with clients to understand their needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Market Research
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Provide insights to senior sales team members.
Sales Execution
- Meet individual sales targets as assigned.
- Track and report on personal sales performance.
Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related
information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies. - Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
- Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the
appropriate company authority. - Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving
security risks and best practices.
General Assignment
- Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the
Company. - Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the
company. - To provide supports to your Team Lead/ Branch Manager as may be required
towards serving the Board, Management and staff.
Qualification
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience
- 0–2 years of sales experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
KPIs and Performance Metrics
- Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of qualified leads converted to sales.
