Job Summary

The Junior Business Development Officer supports the business development team by identifying potential clients, assisting in negotiations, and ensuring timely follow-ups.

The role involves learning market trends, building client relationships, and achieving individual targets under the guidance of senior business development professionals.

Responsibilities

Client Prospecting

  • Identify and qualify leads through research and networking.
  • Maintain an updated database of potential clients.

Sales Support

  • Assist in preparing business proposals and presentations.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure successful closure of deals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with clients to understand their needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

Market Research

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Provide insights to senior sales team members.

Sales Execution

  • Meet individual sales targets as assigned.
  • Track and report on personal sales performance.

Data Protection & Confidentiality

  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related
    information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies.
  • Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
  • Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the
    appropriate company authority.
  • Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving
    security risks and best practices.

General Assignment

  • Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the
    Company.
  • Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the
    company.
  • To provide supports to your Team Lead/ Branch Manager as may be required
    towards serving the Board, Management and staff.

Qualification

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of sales experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

KPIs and Performance Metrics

  1. Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of qualified leads converted to sales.
  2. Sales Target Achievement: Percentage of individual sales targets met.
  3. Customer Engagement: Number of follow-ups and meetings completed.
  4. Customer Satisfaction: Positive feedback from clients.
  5. Market Insights: Number of useful insights shared with the team.
