Job Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end development, launch, and growth of the organization’s digital platforms, including the Insurtech and HMO mobile applications. This role requires a highly entrepreneurial and execution-driven individual with a “0-to-1” mindset, capable of translating business objectives into scalable digital solutions.

The role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, with a strong focus on achieving product-market fit and driving user adoption within the Nigerian insurance and health-tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Lifecycle Management

  • Take ownership of the full product lifecycle for the Insurtech and HMO platforms, from ideation and development to launch and continuous improvement.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmaps based on company objectives, Takaful principles, and user needs.
  • Translate high-level product strategies into actionable requirements, creating clear user stories, wireframes, and PRDs (Product Requirements Documents)

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute product strategies that support business growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on user needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive rapid iteration cycles to refine products and achieve product-market fit.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams in an Agile environment to deliver high quality product releases.
  • Collaborate with business development team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders including operations, compliance, and medical teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and business requirements..

User Research, Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Establish continuous user feedback mechanisms to gather insights from early adopters and key stakeholders.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product performance metrics (e.g., user acquisition, engagement, retention, churn).
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform product decisions and optimize user experience

Market Intelligence & Innovation

  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the Insurtech and Health tech space.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation within the Nigerian and broader African market.
  • Ensure alignment of product offerings with emerging industry practices, including ethical and Takaful-compliant frameworks where applicable

Data Protection & Confidentiality

  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in handling company-related
    information, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and internal policies.
  • Adhere to the company’s information security guidelines, including proper storage, transmission, and disposal of sensitive materials.
  • Promptly report any suspected data breaches or unauthorized access to the
    appropriate company authority.
  • Participate in periodic data protection training to stay informed about evolving
    security risks and best practices.

General Assignment

  • Execute any other duties and tasks that may be designated or assigned by the
    Company.
  • Participate in the knowledge sharing programme of the department and the
    company
  • To provide supports to your manager, Managing Director and Vice Chairman as may be required towards serving the Board, Management and staff members.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Management within Fintech, Insurtech, Health tech, or a broader tech startup ecosystem
  • Proven experience managing early- stage (0-to-1) digital products from concept to growth.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
