This journey began when we saw the limitations of traditional insurance models, which failed to provide adequate coverage, were complex to navigate, focused heavily on profits and often disregarded the cultural nuances of our communities.
We believed that Shariah-compliant insurance solutions can serve as catalysts for broader financial inclusion, so we set out to introduce a model that was not just about risk transfer, but about risk sharing, one that aligned with the principles of Islamic finance; promoting fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Noor Takaful Insurance Limited was therefore established and duly licensed by NAICOM in April 2016 as the first full-fledged composite Takaful operator in Nigeria with a 100 percent Nigerian shareholding, thus making it a pioneer in ethical compliant insurance in Nigeria.

As a composite Takaful operator, we went ahead to roll out products for the formal and informal sectors. We also leverage state-of-the-art technology for our business approach, processes, and channels. This way we can deliver excellent service to our participants, in line with global best practices.

As part of ensuring efficient service delivery, we have several branches in Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Kaduna & Port Harcourt which are managed by experienced personnel and supported by strong agency force and other distribution channels.
