Amb. Shuaibu Ahmed
Chairman
Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and business leader with over 33 years of experience spanning the private and public sectors. He co-founded Ahmed Zakari & Co., one of Nigeria's prominent indigenous auditing and business advisory firms, where he has overseen critical engagements with major entities, including Dangote Cement Plc, Unity Bank, and Jaiz Bank, as well as projects within the NNPC Group. Ambassador Ahmed’s public service career includes roles as Special Adviser, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government of Bauchi State, where he drove initiatives in budgeting and economic planning. He later served as Nigeria's first Ambassador to Qatar, where he established the Nigerian mission, negotiated key bilateral agreements, and secured significant investments into Nigeria, including a strategic equity acquisition by Qatar in Eco Bank Plc. For his diplomatic contributions, he was honoured with Qatar’s "Sash of Merit." In recent years, Ambassador Ahmed was appointed as CFO for Nigeria’s Presidential Power Initiative with Siemens and later as Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council, where he led regulatory reforms. Recognized internationally, he has been invited as a speaker by leaders like President Macron of France and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, underscoring his influence in global finance and governance. An accomplished leader with a commitment to excellence, Ambassador Ahmed holds multiple advanced certifications and has completed executive programs at Harvard University.

Aminu Tukur
Vice Chairman
Joined Noor Takaful in February 2018 as General Manager – Finance & Marketing. He was appointed Acting MD in April 2019. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Nottingham University Business School (UK) as well as BSc Accounting from University of Abuja, Nigeria. He has extensive experience in investments having worked with ARM, Efectivo Capital as well as Adamawa Investment & Property Development Company. He has over 17 years working experience having held various senior positions with reputable organizations in Nigeria.
Joined Noor Takaful in February 2018 as General Manager – Finance & Marketing. He was appointed Acting MD in April 2019. Rakiya Mohammed
Director
Rakiya is the CEO and Founder of Digibit Solutions Limited. She previously held the position of Director of Information Technology at the Central Bank of Nigeria, where she spearheaded the development of Nigeria's Central Bank Digital Currency, the eNaira. Her extensive leadership experience also includes roles at Galaxy Backbone Plc, Premium Pension Limited, and Nigerian Telecommunications Limited. Rakiya earned a First-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Systems Engineering. She is a Fellow of several prestigious organizations, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Nigerian Computer Society. Additionally, she is a member of the Institute of Directors and an alumna of both Harvard and Oxford universities. Her credentials include certifications as a Certified IT Business Manager, Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Lean Process Practitioner, Certified Enterprise Architect, Certified IT Governance Professional (COBIT, CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Chartered Accountant (ICAN). She is also an honorary member of the Certified Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). Rakiya's expertise encompasses blockchain technologies, including central bank digital currencies, cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, and payment systems. She has successfully led the design and implementation of numerous large-scale projects, which include IT governance frameworks, comprehensive IT architectures, data warehousing and analytics solutions, cybersecurity initiatives, core banking systems, enterprise resource management systems(ERP), and various supervisory technology (suptech) and regulatory technology (regtech) solutions.

Stephen Muia
Director
A graduate of Economics and Business Administration from Kenyatta University and is currently a finalist in MBA (Strategic Management) at the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and is a qualified Chartered Marketer. He is an expert in the insurance Industry with over 30 years’ experience. He was the Deputy Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Insurance Africa. He has worked in the insurance industry in various capacities and rose from a Management Trainee to various Senior Management positions while at CIC Insurance Group, one of the largest insurance companies in Kenya. In 2011, he was seconded by CIC Insurance to set up Takaful Insurance of Africa and oversee the establishment of the company. He was General Manager in charge of General Takaful (Insurance) and was later on promoted to Deputy Managing Director. In his tenure the company introduced a wide range of products and revenue rose to close to Kshs. 1 billion in a record 4 years. TIA Kenya had broken even earlier than was anticipated and made marginal profits in 2014, which is a major achievement given the nature of the insurance industry in Kenya.

Managing Director
A Chartered Insurer with over 20 Years’ experience in the Nigerian Insurance market. He is a graduate of Insurance and qualified as Chartered Insurance practitioner in 2008. He holds a Masters degree in Managerial Psychology from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State. He started his Insurance career as an Operations Officer at Allison Insurance Brokers in January, 1999. He was a Marketing Executive with Hallmark Assurance Plc (Now Consolidated Hallmark) in the year 2003 before joining Royal Exchange Plc in the same year. He spent over fourteen (14) years in Royal Exchange working in various units and departments. He was Manager, Yaba Branch between 2011 and 2017 before he became Head, Manufacturing and Conglomerate. He joined Noor Takaful Insurance Limited in March 2019.

From serving as Permanent Secretary in Jigawa State to pioneering Galaxy Information Technology and later transforming Galaxy Backbone as MD/CEO, his leadership has consistently built institutions and scaled digital infrastructure nationally. Abubakar Suleiman

Mr. Abubakar Suleiman is a seasoned economist and banking executive
with over 20 years of consulting and financial-services experience.
At Sterling Bank Plc, he has driven initiatives to optimise financial
intermediation in critical sectors such as Health, Education, Agriculture,
Renewable Energy, and Transportation, sectors that form the H.E.A.R.T. of
the bank’s mission to foster shared prosperity. He also served as Executive
Director and Chief Financial Officer, and was the executive sponsor of Sterling
Alternative Finance, the bank’s non-interest banking arm.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Suleiman advised on tax at Arthur Andersen and traded financial instruments with Citibank Nigeria, grounding him in both regulatory frameworks and markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Abuja and a Master of Science in Major Programme Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. An alumnus of IESE Business School, he remains committed to lifelong learning and thought leadership.

A Fellow of ICAN and Associate of CITN, she has served as Chief Compliance Officer at Linkage Assurance, Principal Manager at Nigeria Unity Line, and currently as Federal Commissioner at the Tax Appeal Tribunal. Beyond her executive roles, she has been instrumental in shaping Nigeria’s accounting profession through ICAN’s Governing Council. At Noor Takaful, she brings unmatched regulatory wisdom and governance expertise to reinforce resilience and integrity.
